If we cured all the preventable diseases such as malaria, cholera, and polio, as well as ended deaths from malnutrition, a cure for cancer would emerge because more people see cancer as the leading threat.  An opposite view exists: that the elite and super-rich must suffer from the disease before it can be cured.  That view breeds through hate and does not offer a path towards discovering a cure.  It also underestimates the power of the poor, who still view other causes of death as more common and more of a reason for concern.  Once malnutrition and preventable diseases with known cures are eliminated, a visible change will occur among the people leading to healthier cancer-preventing behavior, along with heart and lung disease prevention, alzheimer’s treatments, and more funding allocated for the research for complete cures for such causes of death.

The search for eternal life for a few is only a myth; the creation of measures to increase the average life span for many will lead to the discovery of more cures and techniques in medicine to increase the life span at the higher end of the spectrum as well.  Once noticable and permanent progress has been achieved on these fronts, computer-aided thought, artificial intelligence, and successful head transplants or incubators could attain access to greater funding leading to discoveries that pertain to the achievement of eternal life.

Deception used against dictators has led to many wrong-headed beliefs dominating governments and people leading to millions of senseless deaths.  Power comes from healing and securing, not killing.  Progress in the realm of ideas comes from the comfortable seperation of different viewpoints and not the collision of heads.
