Recent controversy in the NRA proves my point. Leader Oliver North lost his position, and the membership has placed the entire executive board under investigation. The NRA misspent $40,000,000 per year on a consulting firm that had paid Oliver North $1,000,000 per year, while Oliver North presided over the NRA. The entire NRA leadership fell under suspicion, as they allowed this scheme to go uninvestigated, while they participated in the same types of abuses at the expense of their membership. A member proposed a resolution that they passed under pressure, which may potentially depose the entire NRA leadership.
