For the identity politics of the anti-metoo movement, this represents a tragedy. This representative of oppression and servitude to plutocracy, who seems to be a poster child for affirmative action, can no longer hold on to power even in the den of privilege and elitism. Identity politics, his status as an African American, could not save him and neither could his arguments about mob rule and due process. When constitutional rights, legal, democratic, and human rights do not apply to workers in the workplace, including the right to provide for the common security, they should not apply to defend executive spying and rape by Weinstein or any Harvard Dean represented executive or entertainer. Due process obviously is not at stake with lawyers like this on the defendent’s legal team.
