Similar to negative interest rates and low-unemployment with stagnant wages, we have low-supply low-price combinations. As destabilization continues, these will become the most common conditions rather than isolated phenomena. The capitalist class will propose a return to slavery or forced “sales” or transfers to overcome the difficulty of selling at low prices.
Only a workers’ state could take control of the economy and restore balance without implementing a return to slavery. This would involve, however, a forced transfer of wealth from the private to the common property form, under the democratic control of the workers and their state.
