While these mentions do not represent any finished program or practical policy, they show that these leaders do listen and care about the opinions of Democratic Power.  The casual, almost inadvertent manner in which they made these revelations shows that they consider it a favor to the membership rather than an obligation.  “Tactics as plan” must still replace “tactics as process”.

Eventually, a factional rift will need to arise in order to exorcise this evident Bernstein-ism, and at that point the positions of Democratic Power must belong to the organizational leadership of Democratic Power as organized around Random Poster’s Press Page.

Any other attempt to maneuver a faction into power will end in defeat for revolutionary politics as political processes become secretive and violent.  This in turn will give rise to fascism unchecked.  Furthermore, it will minimize the importance of active participation in the advancement of Marxist theory in service of the workers’ revolution, allowing the fascists to take the offensive.

The defense of elections, transparency, and the defense of enumerated rights permits the entrance of the masses into political participation.  Without these trends taking precedence, an aristocratic and bourgeois elite will come to dominate the process of secret meetings and violence.

The explosion of the ISO will not leave the ICFI untouched.  The same context applies to the ICFI, a result of pressure from below- for an alternative to Bernie Sanders’ campaign to support Joe Biden- and a free hand from above, the result of inertia from the Left Opposition and the October Revolution.

A workers’ gang of sorts cannot save the day under such circumstances; only a general vigilance on behalf of morality, democratic process, and law, the sacrifice of self-interest in the name of the delivery of the whole, only these principles will provide a way forward for the revolutionary movement.
