Agreeing with WHO Means Slandering the Yan Report

Without offering any proof, the WSWS writer makes this outrageous claim:

“The paper claims: ‘SARS-CoV-2 shows biological characteristics that are inconsistent with a naturally occurring, zoonotic virus.’ It is immediately torn to shreds by scientists.”

What scientists? Torn to shreds how? By slander or by racist hate?

The article continues to rely at length on a yellow-journalist smear-job from the New York Times. The article opposes Yan’s preparations before her appearances in the media. A post-doctoral researcher from Hong Kong who mainly speaks Chinese arrives in the US to appear in the media and should receive no media coach, and no training to prepare her to appear on English-language programs? Attacking this researcher actually appears to be racism against Asians, since so much preparation goes into the production of native English-speaking journalists appearing on television and radio, not only in the US but throughout the world.

As for the funding of Yan’s trip, this comes as a complete shock. The WSWS has fought tooth and nail to deny a public financial report to its own members and donors. The Red Cross produces an annual financial report, but the WSWS attempts to keep this secret on behalf of a ruling family that holds the purse strings. Yan, a non-political scientist, had to find political allies to defend her and her family from Chinese government repression. That she needed the far-right to defend her speaks to the total capitulation of the Marxist movement in its defense of scientific thinking and the scientific community. Myth-making will not only hinder the working class but endanger it intolerably. The source of these assaults on the intellectual community should not find shelter within a Marxist Party. The attack on Yan must be seen as an open adaptation to Chinese Stalinism by the nano-bureaucracy.

Dr. Yan’s report, issued a year ago, still holds up in the face of hoax peer-reviews (no official peer review has been offered) and the WHO’s report, which refuses on the most flimsy pretext to even consider the possibility that a virus program, not necessarily Chinese or exclusively Chinese, produced the virus and deliberately released it. On RandomPoster33.Org, we reviewed the report and an unofficial “peer-review” from Johns Hopkins that supposedly left her report “torn to shreds.” Such a gleefully sadistic expression to back the sabotage and destruction of scientific progress.
