The UN supported a US war on Iraq, since the destruction of Iraq would help all the imperialist powers without bringing any risk on any major imperialist power. The U.S.-China War would involve the two largest powers fighting each other, undermining world-wide faith in the longevity of the U.S.-led imperialist system. If the WHO’s position on the virus’ origins differs from its position on the WMDs, the difference would be political not scientific. Why would UN-WHO agents and their WSWS supporters defend science while UN Weapons Inspectors and their WSWS detractors defend war plans? Only a revolutionary government formed by the international working class in an open struggle against capitalism can end the decline of democracy and revive scientific and artistic progress. A dependence on China and the WHO will lead to disaster for the international working class, the destruction of its leadership, and the re-stabilization of imperialism on the ruins of the Chinese and American economies. The WSWS should be shamed publicly for failing to distance themselves from the WHO as a scientific organization.
