A response to: “Scientists take a stand against “Wuhan lab” witch-hunt“

This view of the virus unleashes a very dangerous ignorance upon the population. At the Potsdam Conference, sixteen hours after Harry Truman gave the order to drop nuclear weapons on Japan, he provided the public the first admission of the existence of nuclear technology. Here is an excerpt from this speech:

“It is an atomic bomb. It is a harnessing of the basic power of the universe. The force from which the sun draws its power has been loosed against those who brought war to the Far East.

“Before 1939, it was the accepted belief of scientists that it was theoretically possible to release atomic energy. But no one knew any practical method of doing it. By 1942, however, we knew that the Germans were working feverishly to find a way to add atomic energy to the other engines of war with which they hoped to enslave the world. But they failed. We may be grateful to Providence that the Germans got the V-1’s and V-2’s late and in limited quantities and even more grateful that they did not get the atomic bomb at all.

“The battle of the laboratories held fateful risks for us as well as the battles of the air, land and sea, and we have now won the battle of the laboratories as we have won the other battles.”

It is the genetically engineered virus. It is a harnessing of the basic power of life. The force from which all cells draw their activity has been loosed against those who brought war to the Far East. Before 2015, it was accepted as theoretically possible to genetically engineer viruses with selected traits, using laboratories for experiments known as “gain-of-function research.” But no one knew any practical method of doing it. By 2017, however, we knew the Chinese were working feverishly to find a way to use genetically engineered viruses to enslave the world. But they failed. We may be grateful…

The WSWS has become an agent of imperialism, giving serious and vital assistance to the US government in its present-day “battle of the laboratories” with China.

On August 12, three days after the Nagasaki bombing, the War Department released the 182-page account, which became known as the Smyth Report.  The report contained a wealth of information lucidly presented, but, as Groves clearly stated in his foreword, “no requests for additional information should be made.”  Persons either disclosing or securing additional information without authorization, Groves declared, would be “subject to severe penalties under the Espionage Act.”

In this situation, an espionage program seeks to suppress information on the virus, or turn it all over to the far right, as a part of domestic spying. The WSWS has concluded that siding with the government against its people best serves the interests of the nano-bureaucracy and has abandoned or dropped out of both science and history.

Furthermore, the WSWS has chosen the worst form of double-speak by calling everything that happens in the world a witch-hunt. That has to be the worst conspiracy theory out there! The Chinese government silences critics. This is a well known fact. This is precisely the reason imperialism has chosen China as its workshop and its laboratory. It must silence scientists that attempt to expose the weapons of imperialism and reaction (or workers’ leaders that attempt to introduce democratic reforms to production and distribution processes) in exchange for a seat at the table with Capital. The SEP nano-bureaucracy seeks to replace the Chinese state bureaucracy at the right hand of Capital at Capital’s last supper.

Democratic Power seeks to replace the nano-bureaucracy and its big brother, the Chinese State bureaucracy, with a living democracy that fights for a united humanity, eliminating all national borders, and a responsible authority to manage the world’s resources and production. In answer to the worst weapons in history unleashed on the population, Democratic Power proposes the world’s first global election for a first world government. Only the establishment of a workers’ state after the collapse of a capitalist state can organize and defend such an election. For this reason, we look forward to the collapse of capitalist states despite the dangers posed by their horrific weapons that harness the power released from the destruction, as part of chain reactions, of the most basic building blocks of the universe and life.
