The WSWS supports the government in its genocides, arguing that the US government provides freedom and democracy, like it argues that the UN produces objective science. A real movement for Democratic Power will require a struggle against the nano-bureaucracy to free the world socialist revolution from the restrictions imposed upon it by imperialism and its agents in the ICFI.

Unified action does require a certain protection of the authority of the party from attacks by bourgeois ideology, but it does not require silence on fundamental Marxist positions. As Marx wrote in Capital, Chapter 31, The Genesis of the Industrial Capitalist, “Capital comes [into the world] dripping from head to foot, from every pore, with blood and dirt.” It did not create the Republic but predicted its rise so at to divide the rising working class along national lines in order to create a long series of genocides and world-destructive wars.

The progressivism falsely attributed to the bourgeoisie had more to do with the economic basics arising from the protection of private property and freedom of exchange, creating the illusion of an equality that should later materialize only under socialism. The fate of individual bourgeois revolutionaries, therefore, matters far less than the constant correction of the political line of the revolutionary party, the only rational and stable foundation for a mass movement of the international working class. The decision of the WSWS to put individual bourgeois rights of property above the scientifically correct political line, the authoritative line from the standpoint of the working class, will harm the working class, who will not rise up ignorant of this decision.
