Taken from the summary of Biden’s report “issued by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence:”

“One [intelligence community] element assesses with moderate confidence that the first human infection with SARS-CoV-2 most likely was the result of a laboratory-associated incident, probably involving experimentation, animal handling, or sampling by the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”

Reading the WSWS version of the report, one would end up completely ignorant of these facts. Whoever hijacked the WSWS and turned it against its history of exposures, from 9/11 to the Anthrax attacks on Congress, whoever lies behind this assault on the democratic rights of the working class must face immediate investigation and expulsion. The weeds must be pulled with the roots, and anyone responsible for allowing Damon and Mateus to control the editorial line must also accept responsibility and demotion from political committees, central committees, international committees, and positions as branch officials or as members of the editorial board for a period of five years.

A new leadership, based on the membership, must control the party to save it from its own destruction. The ISO and Time’s Up on the left and the Trump campaign on the right have proven that criminal organizations cannot replace the steady hand of the authority and they must fall due to their own contradictions. Why would a criminal who does not fear the law then use his position to serve the membership? Quite the opposite, they must serve themselves even if it means risking the destruction of the very organization that they parasitize.

We also have a further fact in Eban’s article, of which the WSWS editorial board would have us remain ignorant:

In February, following a fact-finding mission to China, an international team of experts working with the World Health Organization issued a report on COVID-19’s origins that called the laboratory hypothesis “extremely unlikely.” But just two weeks ago, the head of that team, a Danish scientist named Peter Ben Embarek, acknowledged that the report’s wording resulted from a backchannel deal he made with his Chinese counterpart: The lab-leak possibility could be included in the final report, so long as no further investigation of it was recommended.

As we can see, the WSWS bases its entire theory on an admitted lie made as part of a deal between the WHO and China. Danish scientist Peter Ben Embarek, the head of the WHO team that the WSWS has made its idol within the capitalist establishment, his report their bible, himself admits he agreed with China to include the false conclusion before, most likely, he even saw the evidence.

The WSWS has thoroughly embarrassed itself and endangered the entire revolutionary movement. An investigation and expulsion of the relevant unqualified “experts” on Covid-19 should follow immediately. A delay on this issue means sacrificing the lives of dedicated revolutionaries involved in the socialist movement with the SEP. The concealing of weapons and of secret alliances puts at risk the entire revolutionary movement. Disarm the agents of imperialism, not the working class revolution!
