An official in a position of authority that enables a criminal himself has criminal liability. A decision by the media to suppress information about such criminal liability makes the media criminally liable. The WSWS must apologize and reverse its decision to defend all those accused of rape by slandering all the accusers. It must reverse its policy of defense of the FBI, the university administration, professional organizations and all those who enabled systematic and widespread harassment, rape, and sexual assault.

A recent report about the Catholic Church in France alone, revealed 330,000 child victims of sexual abuse in France in seven decades, along with around 3,000 paid abusers. Expanding this to all the imperialist powers and including their governments, medias, and sports and cultural programs, and including crimes on women and not only children, we see the potential for millions of unreported cases and tens of thousands of abusers on government and corporate payrolls. Considering all the imperialist propaganda about the suffering of women in places like Afghanistan and Iran, these statistics reveal a massive hypocrisy at the center of the argument for an invasion. The WSWS must accept its own responsibility for such invasions when it plays along with and defends the hypocrisy of imperialist institutions.
