The shortages should lead to cuts in production, which would provide increased profits for those investing in manufacturing. Some in manufacturing will continue to produce through the supply-chain interruptions and hoard goods in warehouses. They will see their profits increase at the expense of all legitimate businesses who order goods on a regular basis. Only a direct confrontation with the capitalist class, through industrial action by the masses of workers will redistribute the hoarded goods. Once this occurs, socialism will then be on the agenda to end future supply-chain manipulations that cut off supplies in order to raise profits.

The American revolution against the British authority sought to eliminate the taxes that extracted limitless resources from the American economy. A new revolution will eliminate private profit in order to protect the economy and productive activity from an oligarchy that lives almost entirely apart from the people and sees their interests as necessarily parasitic and predatory. The increased productivity released from such a revolution will provide for an end to hunger, homelessness, preventable illnesses, and unemployment as well as environmental destruction and artificial limitations on ethical scientific advancement.
