“This court has just lit a fire, started a revolution.”

Former First Lady of California, Maria Shriver, ex-wife of Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger, now supports a revolution. This will shift public opinion quickly in favor of the establishment of a new government. She is more than an entertainer but a scion of the politically central Kennedy family, a niece of the former president. Her situation resembles that of Woody Holton, renowned historian and son of a former Republican Governor of Virginia. Holton also has implied support for revolution through his historical interpretations of the 1776 revolution and by arguing for the independence of Texas in the present day, as an example. As I have written before, bourgeois revolutionaries will likely start the revolution. They have done it before, and they know how. Only the working class, however, can carry the revolution against capitalism out to its conclusion.

In order to perform its historic role as the revolutionary class, the workers need to enter the ICFI and break up the Nanobureaucracy so that factional democracy can return into force. As a result of imperialist police tactics, the Fourth International implemented emergency measures eliminating democratic discussion from the party, along with the rights of the membership, doing away with decades of progress for the socialist movement. Only the working class, especially the politically advanced and well-educated parts, has a material interest in restoring professionalism to the party after decades of neglect. This will put the revolutionary agenda of the working class back at the center of national and international politics, as the workers will then have a party to represent them unswervingly.
