At 38 years old, Zuckerburg’s fortune has fallen to $38 billion. As Democratic Power predicted, a crash in the range of 80% lurks around the corner for the US and USD-denominated assets. These massive losses have already hit West and Zuckerburg, but within a few months, most economists think a recession will officially begin if it has not already. Once the authorities declare the US to have entered a recession, a downward spiral that neither monetary nor fiscal policy can reverse, the fate of West and Zuckerburg will be the fate of many. This does not ensure a consciousness shift in favor of revolutionary politics, since the federal government can still use emergency powers to control the media and protests with violence. Only a revolutionary party can organize activities to raise awareness, prepare, and elevate the working class, the one force capable of confronting and toppling the capitalist state.
