Open-ended references will not bring us to any specific bit of information, but that reference still brings us to some space some information could fill. That will depend not on the identity referenced but reflect entirely on the referal.
A fixed identity will take the same form everywhere without regard for context. This gives the reference little hope in categorizing, controlling, or making use of an identity.
To resolve these issues and others as they relate to thought and action, we will define some main terms and work with some of Hegel’s writing on the subject.
