The Noema Magazine, published by the Berggruen Institute, explores global political and philosophical issues. The owner of the Berggruen Institute, Nicolas Berggruen, is a billionaire investor based in the US who inherited a fortune from his father, a world-renowned art collector. His mother starred in a German movie about the Holocaust. According to his biography on Wikipedia: “He became interested in Marxism and by 15 had written a constitution for a utopian country.[20] Berggruen refused to learn English at the time because he thought it was ‘the language of imperialism.’”[4]
An article highlighting his socialistic values appears here: https://www.kcrw.com/culture/shows/scheer-intelligence/can-we-trust-billionaires-to-save-democracy
Unfortunately, we also know his Berggruen Institute has formed a “21st Century Council” that includes among its members: British Prime Minister Tony Blair, former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder, former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, former Brazilian President Fernando Henrique Cardoso, and former Chilean President Ricardo Lagos, as well as Jack Dorsey, Elon Musk, Jeff Skoll, and Patrick Soon-Shiong.
His feverish work habits in organizing the empire seems to be a form of hard labor as punishment for his defense of Marxism in the elite Swiss prep school he attended as a child.
His council’s roster tells us that the institute seeks solutions for society’s problems through the agency of the capitalist ruling class. As Marxists and other communists before Marx have always argued, the driving force of history is the revolutionary class. Marxists explicitly address the working class, unite and organize the working class, and call for the transfer of power to the working class. If the #Democratic_Power_Faction were to participate in editing a publication, this would be the main priority and central opinion guiding that work.
