This is factually incorrect. Despite some initial reluctance, Trotsky did in, in the end, after much prodding and convincing on Lenin's part, vote to sign the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk.
It's true. Marx and Engels supported the British Empire's fight against the attempt to restore the Mughal Dynasty in India. And yes, part of their theory explicitly states that the capitalist development of India was a good thing. You're not a Marxist if you don't believe that.
