Considering the indictments of the 61 activists involved in Cop City, should we see organized crime as a solution for injustice? As we can see below, organized crime can come under the influence of liberals and Stalinists who will use the crimes to attack the revolution itself rather than its real enemies. That also calls into question whether the murder of activist Manuel Teran was really engineered by police or by Stalinists to force a violent confrontation between activists and police, creating a mafia with which to implicate or attack activists at will. As Chen Xiangling wrote about the International Marxist Tendency, “No matter how important ‘discipline’ in the procedural sense is, the claims of justice always supersedes it.”
