This is a half ignorant half anti-semetic argument. Israel is not a guaranteed ally for US imperialism. In this case, Biden just sent $6 billion to Iran, signalling to Hamas that US imperialism wants an attack on Israel. The US would orchestrate an attack on its own ally for various reasons. They want to control the Israeli protests against Netanyahu to show they will not stand with the people and democracy against their puppet-dictator allies. Netanyahu or at least his military had advanced notice of the attack and shifted 80% of their soldiers from the Gaza border to the West Bank. Neither this fact nor the $6 billion to Iran make it into the IMT analysis, preventing objectivity from the beginning. Israel’s willingness to exterminate Palestinians depends on their narrative of a holocaust leading to statehood. This narrative has been commodified by imperialism and turned into political capital, which the Israeli regime must leverage to the fullest to serve their imperialist allies. As the extermination proceeds, this narrative will lose all value, since statehood does not end the holocaust but forces its repetition. Socialist revolution failed in Europe, leading to the rise of fascism and finally the holocaust when fascism saw its final days approaching.

If socialist revolution fails in Israel, then fascism will bring far greater wars and destruction until capitalism has exhausted all of society’s resources. Israel’s allies in the US government know on what road they have Israel headed, one no different from the US’ other ally, the Ukraine. For that reason, workers in Israel cannot fail and cannot accept Ofer Cassif’s leadership if he submits to military force against the protests as reason to end those protests and support the military in war. Only war against the war-makers can save Israel’s dying democracy as well as millions of lives throughout the Middle East.

Alan Woods’ friendship with the Chavez-Maduro government of Venezuela proves their real interest: bring the Fourth International down and force it to submit to national bourgeois forces to prevent the organization of a world socialist revolution. By forcing the Fourth International to look outside of its own ranks for revolutionary leadership, Woods provides an invaluable service to imperialism. Only an absolute insistence on the leadership of the Fourth International can break up the entrenched powers who rule through proxies, puppets, and an endlessly expanding bureaucracy that frees them from popular control.
