The eyes on the “Yes, And?” Cover Art are spy eyes, the kind that look out through the cut out eyes of a painting as their owner hides behind the wall.

They symbolize the existence of two works of art when the world says there is one. The one is the obvious work on display, but the second brings in a second artist that deserves credit for holding that old art in its gaze.

Real artists do not look away from the unpleasant, even the unpleasantness of art in general, with its unwritten rules designed to trap the unsuspecting, drawing them across some unseen line, with its history as an excessively fragile store of value and a cause for military-organized theft and vandalism.
