Let us reply to the carefully crafted swamp of the Mamdani camp with our historical, political record. It shows that our revolutionary opposition to capitalism far outdates his spontaneous and limited socialist reform campaign. Participation with volunteers “in real life” must begin with an understanding that the class conflict does not produce any safe or easy means of achieving success, so disguising a revolutionary as a reformist is like donning a prisoner’s uniform and sleeping in a prison cell to fool the state. Revolutionary results must come from conscious revolutionary organizing, which depends above all in the belief in a revolutionary leadership and criticism from a revolutionary press. Confront Mamdani’s volunteers armed with the information and strong revolutionary positions in this political history to win a revolutionary victory for the working class! Support Kshama Sawant in her campaign for Congress! Any Fourth International group refusing official support for her election campaign must answer for their betrayal of Marxist politics and workers’ unity! We demand freedom for factional politics to remove Fourth International leaders from executive positions in revolutionary organizations until we see progress towards Kshama Sawant’s successful model for socialist leadership and radical inclusion!
