Logic includes as a precondition aesthetic sense. This focus on “I am” is simply the subjective attraction (attraction of one is different from the attraction of all) to or the impossible to escape nature of the self. Creativity must deliver a message, so it can never escape its surrounding context, the cause and effect of the thing and its environment, its place and time.
Logic can sometimes (emphasis on logic within this particular argument) depend on creativity, for instance if the logical argument has not been discovered by the philosopher. Logic can also redact steps to force creativity into action, i.e. the act of creation, a capital offence under capitalism because the artist’s name is written into the work itself, the dead labor lives like the inscription on a tombstone. In colonial contexts, artists could not legally sign their paintings. The colonists imagined a future without indigenous rights and without indigenous people. The imperialist in that sense is a character not an actor, one with impaired logic.
Creativity can then be punished for an absence of logic deliberately created for that purpose. An artist may create a censored image but that could make creativity itself, creation itself, the target for capture. The absence of logic can be created through the reduction of thought time. The fewer the thoughts, the greater the feelings and the motivation to act creatively.
The opposite also holds true, since creativity can disprove logic with, in heirarchal order, brand new information, unpredictability along with probability (multiple repititions of an act and observation of natural variation in outcomes), inexplicable phenomena. Disproving logic could take the form of either epistemology, (the idealist or positivist forms) or metaphysics (records of subjectively precise observations or objects of the imagination.)
So naturally creativity cannot be the slave of logic, and consequently neither logic be the slave of creativity. To eliminate one would be to eliminate both and therefore many more. “Slave” is a metaphysical concept in the sense that one larger object can subject another through greater force, but the force of a smaller object given impulse by a larger cause could have the greater effect on a larger object with no observable motion. The epistemology would run parralel to the metaphysics, meaning that which object subjugates the other to its force really depends either on our position on the question of which object serves what subjective ends, or what subjective measurements we allow to produce the knowledge in our minds that one object is in servitude and the other can act willfully rather than as an effect of previous action.
We must overcome one-sidedness to make progress, whether in thought or in physical labor. While physical labor may distract from work with abstract material, resistance to an assignment of physical labor can add force to pure thought. The physical labor could really function as a show of force against the worker, the product being the image of a particular worker engaged in a particular type of physical labor. In this sense, any objective measurement of the worker’s accomplishments distracts from the counterproductive nature of the assigned work, its structural design a relentless demand for submission to the owners of capital, to dead labor, and to capitalist rule.
The real accomplishment or victory for the worker in this case can only come from subjective opposition to the classification of the given work as self-defeating. By attaching unseen value to his work through argument, he can turn his image from that of a suffering slave into the bringer of value, the effector of the transfer of capital into a working class commodity both useful and exchangable for the worker or the collective, the mind behind the operation that steals from the idle and rewards work in the abstract by filling the word “work” with the meaning of strength and of a position close to large stores of capital. With every generation, by the design of the workers themselves, the physical distance between capital and labor declines, and not just new generations of humanity but with every new generation of capital brought on by technical progress, the distance declines.
This progress happens not by accident but by the political progress enacted by the political force of the working class in its unstable compromise with the ruling class. It takes the form of economic law and its reflection in political, even anti-imperialist laws composed of imperfect effort by human hands while AI-written rules remain still more imperfect. These cannot erase from social consciousness the influence of the working class when it acts as a unified force, a force that grows exponentially when united with the anti-colonial struggle, the anti-fascist struggle, the anarchist collectives (ignored and dismissed as ineffective or perhaps intellectually deformed by Trotskyists during the Spanish Revolution,) and the individuals they conscript for their unique contributions in the multitude of occupational fields.
