Violence, Freedom, and Democracy
One might argue that because of threats and violence, there cannot be freedom. It doesn’t follow that there should be no democracy. Democracy is the responsibility debate and participate. Freedom would be to indulge leaders with unlimited incumbency. However, that excess of freedom for the leadership only rewards the source of the threats and violence whose aims are inimical to the cause.
