Silvopasture
A possible solution to the destruction of forests for cattle grazing: silvo-pasture or timbre-grazing. As the return on investment in this type of agriculture would be lower, a tax on ranches with insufficient tree cover would reverse the price difference in favor of sustainable development. Subsidies given directly to the low-income consumers of meat with would maintain lower prices for the workers.
