The real criminals are those sitting in the capitalist parliaments who conspired to expose the population to a deadly virus, and the corporate executives who profited from it.”

If parliament “conspired to expose the population to a deadly virus,” why would they not take it one step further and actually attempt to genetically modify the virus? Genetic modification already happens on a large scale in agriculture. Two of the three labs in the entire world studying gain-of-function research on Coronaviruses operate in the US and the last one in Wuhan, China. A Nobel Laureate has acknowledged the existence of a “smoking gun” in the genetic structure of the virus, showing it has been manipulated in a laboratory.

To cry “fake news” and turn a blind eye to science actually plays into the right-wing strategy of dividing the scientific community. As Trotsky argued, the ruling class controls nature. The ruling class also controls our observations of nature. As Engels put it, nature must be seen in all its concatenations, that is not only as the virus interacted with the lock-down but also its “evolution” from previous coronaviruses.

As with 9/11 and the Iraq War, the US Government does not seek to deny that the 9/11 attacks actually occurred. Neither should we. The government did, however, participate in the activities of Bin Laden, Al Qaeda, and the pilots and hijackers that attacked on 9/11. The investigation of the government’s role in encouraging and allowing the attacks, the 9/11 Commission, met with clear lies and obstruction of justice. This same process has now begun with the virus, as the government argues for an “accidental leak” theory to cover-up their role in designing and releasing the virus as a means of killing workers and creating a pretext for a war with China.
